Wind drawing device and string drawing demonstration.

Epsom based artist Brian Ingram creates art using chance methods. As an alternative to directing a hand held pencil, pen or brush in the conventional manner, Brian has devised methods of producing drawings influenced by the wind and the motion of a car, and by implements such as ink-soaked string and paint-impregnated eggs. He sometimes takes the wind drawings a stage further by transforming the shapes produced on paper by the wind into metal sculptures and mobiles.

See Brian's art being created live in the street, outside Metro Bank, Epsom High Street over the festival weekend.

Brian's work will also be exhibited in Caffe Nero, High Street, Epsom from Tuesday 21st - Sunday 26th June, and also in the Ashley Centre Exhibition from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June.

Brian has lived in Epsom nearly all his life and studied for a Fine Art degree at UCA in Farnham. Apart from his modern and conceptual work, Brian also creates sculpture and paints a wide range of subjects in all media. His work has been exhibited widely including at the Mall and Bankside Galleries in London, and has been acquired by buyers in the UK and overseas.
