As part of MGSO4 Festival's outreach programme Claire Reed has delivered a special arts workshop at Priory Court Care Home in the lead up to the Festival.

Claire is a freelance artist and educator who works in a variety of media, specialising in edgy and powerful site-specific work exploring belief and value systems. “I don’t have a signature style as I prefer the freedom and challenge of making work that responds to the people and place where I’m working,” she explains.

Claire has exhibited in several London venues including the Vyner Street Gallery and the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower, as well as galleries across the South East including the Robert Phillips Gallery, Walton-on-Thames and St Georges’ Arts, Esher. Further afield, Claire’s contemporary art and dance collaboration 'Letters:Cartas' has been presented at The World Congress in Dance Research, Athens.

Claire is currently Artist-in-Residence for the St. James’ Campaign, Weybridge, with an exhibition of new work opening 16 July 2016. Alongside her art practice, she specialises in engaging audiences to develop their unique creative potential. So as part of the Campaign, she is running two community projects, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Vocal’, which will form part of the exhibition.
