These events have been organised independently by Epsom Garden Society, in cooperation with MGSO4, to promote social inclusion through the arts..

The following events are part of Epsom Garden Society’s Summer Show:

Epsom Garden Society Scarecrow Design Competition - A free competition for all ages
This event is part of Epsom Garden Society’s Summer Show
There will be 3 categories: Schools, Families and Adults with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries in each category. All entries must be self-supporting and will be displayed on the school playing field. Entries should be brought along to the school and put in place before 10.30am on the morning of Saturday 25th.
Anyone wishing to enter should contact Jill – EGS Show Secretary on 01372 725687 by Thursday 23 June at the latest.

Decorate and Plant a flower pot - a free practical workshop for juniors
Free drop in workshop, run by members of the society, and learn how to use various media to decorate a flower pot and then plant it with an annual.

How to make a Floral Tapestry Style Table Arrangement
An opportunity to see how a floral tapestry arrangement is constructed. From the materials needed to the finished item. An experienced member of Epsom Garden Society’s flower arrangers who will be on hand to answer questions and give pointers as to how to complete one for yourself at home. Materials to take home can be purchased on the day.

Floral and Photographic Art exhibition
Display of Floral Arrangements and Photography staged by both the junior and adult society members.

Our Town History of Epsom Garden Society
An electronic and static display reflecting the theme of the MGSO4 Festival ‘Our Town,’ tracing the history of the Society in Epsom from its starting point as the Christchurch Flower Show in 1932.
