We are delighted to have been awarded a grant of £750 through Community Foundation for Surrey (CFS), to support creative activities that benefit older people.
The grant – donated by CFS’s Pargiter Trust Fund – will go towards a specially-designed creative project for people aged 65 and over.
The Pargiter Trust is a national family charitable trust established to support disadvantaged older people, which works in partnership with CFS to deliver a local grassroots grants programme.
MGSO4 established great relationships with community partners and care homes during the 2016 festival, with some excellent artwork being produced and enjoyed by all.
Ali Waters, MGSO4’s head of outreach, said: “We were so pleased with the quality and range of arts activities that older people in Epsom & Ewell were able to participate in during the 2016 festival. It’s excellent news that the value of these collaborations is recognised and going to be supported by Community Foundation for Surrey and Pargiter Trust in 2017.”
Further details about the project will be published in the new year.
