Journey of Discovery: MGSO4 Contemporary Art Exhibition.

MGSO4 presents an exhibition of work from emerging and mid-career artists, responding to the theme of discovery.
Artists were selected from an open call for submission, interpreting the theme in any way they see fit. The eclectic exhibition includes 3D work, textile and digital mediums as well as well as contemporary fine art. Artworks will be for sale during this exhibition.

Penny Rundle's's works 'Over Yonder 2' and 'Something Inside' are long-listed for this exciting exhibition.

"Over Yonder 2 is one of a short series inspired by visits to Saunton Sands. It is based on the view in the early morning and attempts to bring together both the moment and my memories of it at different times. The exaggerated colours are used to express the intensity of feeling I have when surrounded by nature, the gaps and holes the mystery of what lies beneath and the lines take the viewer ‘over yonder’ to wherever that might be."

"Something Inside explores the experience of static shapes and movement in the natural world. When the world offers a combination of movement and stillness the traveller often stops, so rendering shapes that were dramatic as they slipped by, diminished by the energy of nature itself in motion."

From 15th May to 1st July, the public will be able to vote online for their favourite artist in the People's Choice Award. The submitted work for each artist is displayed on this website.
